Many of our homeschool lessons reference Bible verses, and now I can help my children to understand the background information about the books of the Bible in a new way with the Printable Books of the Bible “Summary Sheets” we were given by Teach Sunday School. I kind of think of these as almost a set of cheat sheets for the books of the Bible as they contain some quick, at-a-glance information for the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament.
Each book of the Bible get one page in this printable PDF set.

For each book of the Bible, you will be able to read about all or most of the following:
One Page Cheat Sheet Template
- book title
- the order of the book in the Bible
- what makes this book famous or unique
- who wrote the book of the Bible
- date the book was written
- a little bit of information about the time period of this book of the Bible
- a brief list of some of the famous stories found in this book
- some of the most famous and beloved Bible verses from this book, in whole, not just listed
- other important information about the book
There are many ways to use this printable resource. It is a 74 page PDF and is in full color. My color printer has been on the fritz for a long while, so I just printed in black and white. I printed out individual sheets about a few different books of the Bible that were referenced in lessons we were learning. For example, our logic curriculum we are using at co-op always has several Bible verses in each lesson that help to illustrate the lesson and point. It was nice to be able to print out the corresponding sheet from this product to let me kids see that there was more to that book of the Bible, the author of the book, and the time period of that book that just the little snippet of a verse plugged into their lesson.
Other ways you could use this would be to print a sheet out for each book of the Bible covered in your Sunday school lesson. If your students do Bible studies as part of their school, they would probably find it handy to have a whole binder filled with these sheets so they could reference them any time and see more of the big picture of the Bible as a whole. You could use the information on the pages to create your own worksheets or mini quizzes to reinforce the information with your students. You could bring these sheets out when working on history timelines to see where each of the books of the Bible fit on their timeline. That’s especially interesting for older students who have a better concept of time!
I think this is a really good value for what you get. As soon as I get my color printer fixed, I’ll be printing out a set of these to have as a reference for our household or to take to co-op. I have been printing a page at a time, as needed, but it would make an awesome reference book and tool to just have readily available. With its regular pricing, it’s less than $20, but as of publication of this post, it’s on sale for less than $10!
