Apparently the current version of Dropbox caused the Finder to crash right after login.
Apple Engineers have confirmed this and recommended Developers to wait until the issue is resolved. If you are a registered Apple Developer, head to Apple Developer Forums for the discussion.

Numbers of users are reporting they found out that Dropbox.app would not work with Mac OS X Lion.
If Dropbox’s servers failed, you would still have the files on your Mac’s hard drive. And if your Mac is stolen or its hard drive crashes, the files will still be stored on Dropbox’s servers. For your own sake, I hope you agree that using Dropbox is a no-brainer! 1) Open up your Dropbox folder and keep it open. 2) Drag any file or folder––either from your desktop or another folder––and drop it within your opened Dropbox folder. Note: If you want to send the file to a specific folder within your Dropbox folder, simply drag and drop the file inside the specific folder.
You can’t use this version of the application Dropbox with this version of Mac OS X.

I’ve figured out a quick fix for this issue. Open Info.plist inside the application bundle, and change “Bundle Version” to 2.0 . Apparently Lion doesn’t allow applications with low bundle versions to run for some reason.
There's a quicker way: all you need to do is enable Dropbox's screenshot-sharing feature on your Mac or PC. Open your Dropbox app preferences (click the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, click the gear icon, then select Preferences), select the Import tab, and check the Save screenshots using Dropbox box. Why is the new version of Dropbox using so much memory on my mac? Currently Dropbox is using 258.9 MB of memory. I don't use Smart Sync. I don't have more than 300,000 files synced to my mac. I don't use the desktop app or want to use it, I use the standard Dropbox app that lives in the Menubar. I don't use 'Selective Sync' Dropbox version: 79.
Now Dropbox v.1.0.20 works in Mac OS X Lion.
